Agro-pastoral Initiative for Development (AID) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit making, non-political, non-religious and non-government, humanitarian organization, legally re-registered and accorded its legal personality from the Federal Republic of Ethiopian Agency for Civil Society Organization, on February 6, 2020, bearing license number 3476. The purpose of AIDS is to help poor pastoralist communities of Ethiopia to enable them to help themselves in the betterment of their economic and social lives.

Geographical operational area

AID is currently implementing Project in Telltale Worda of Borena Zone and Adola Woreda of Guji Zone,  Oromia Region and in Gura-Dhamole Woreda of  liben Zone  and Hudet  Woreda  of Dawa Zone of Somali Regional State, AID has also operational presence in Wollega  and , Bale , East and West Hararge Zone of Oromia Region, Dire-Dawa city administration  and However, for the future it is planning to expand to other Pastoral & Agro-pastoral areas of the country.
